Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

You should've let Michelle & I know... we could've heisted it for you!! : )

Lmao, Yeah, but whose vehicle would we have put it on top of! Blarney, you never got back to me on buying some pork. Did Matthew come up with prices?

We didn't forget you! We are just a bit lost on this venture, Matthew hasn't sold any of the pork! He has a list of potential buyers (yer on the list) and hasn't called any of them yet. This is something we HAVE to get on top of as we have a couple hundred pounds of meat headed our way on Thursday!

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well & are free from sickness. we have had a headcold/chest infection boomeranging it's way between hubby and I for the last week and a half :( seems I got the worst of it! now if I could just get the rest of the grossness off my chest & get rid of my blocked ears I'll be good to go!

I haven't been on much except to skim over posts. We've been busy trying to get stuff done outdoors while my Dad has a tractor, with a front end loader and backhoe attachments, rented. Welcome to any new people, hi to those who've been here. And I wanted to share a pic of the new favorite laying spot that some of the girls are using
400

Those bails are on top of a shelf that's about 2.5 ft tall, so they're laying over 5 feet above the floor of that shed. Crazy birds! We have a step ladder by them so Gavin can climb up to get the eggs.

Hi everyone. I'm located in Bedminster PA. Wanted to ask if there is a place where I can rent a chicken plucker. I have about 8 birds that need to be processed and plucking by hand is getting a bit much. lol Thanks in advance.

Blarney:

I think you may have 400lbs coming...depending on the cuts.....If you want to buy the bags/rolls, you can borrow my food saver vacuum sealer....I think you have a big job in front of you.....

Try wingstone & fisherlady. Both have processing equipment & have offered to assist with processing for those on the thread. Just check to see who is closest & who has time the soonest.

Just cleaned the coop for the first time today, going on 5 or 6 months using the deep litter method. Even though it didnt smell inside the coop at first, it smelled real bad taking the pine shavings out. I guess the stuff on the bottom really starts to stink
