I made a request at the local beer distributor....they should have a tasting day, I am not buying a case without knowing if I like it......they thought I was crazy...

And this is chicken related since my favorite past time involves a drink a 5 gallon bucket and the chicken run...

If you find a Wegmans you can get 6packs cheaper than a bar....or make a run to MD, there's place on RT 40 near Elkton that will sell you 24 singles....and has and enormous selection....the last option is every time you make a 'trade/swap',,,include one cold beer....

Hello everyone! I did my usual weekend rake out the run and I usually put new wood chips on top.........but today I put in a whole bunch of dry leaves.......

so funny because when the girls came back into the run...........they were not sure how to handle the leaf pile! They all ran into the coop and stayed in there for some time.

My one year old stayed in the dust bath area........with no leaves.

I had to lure them out with raisins.

I took some pictures and I know I am biased but I just love their feather patterns.........plumage.

For those of you looking for what type of chicken to get let me just say

WYANDOTTES ! or EASTER EGGERS

Here are some pics:
This standing in the leaf pile took some time..........but aren't they cute!
Here they are coming out since I put out some raisins
look at their beautiful feathers!

Okay here is one more post .

Ramona is my New Hampshire Red who is one year old.

When I got her in end of july she looked like this
look at her comb and wattle at this time end of July.

Now on Oct 6th here is her comb and wattle...........notice any differences?

Cute chickens! I've never seen a chicken that wasn't cute actually.
