Just out of curiosity:

1. For those of you with your own cow- how is it drinking unpasteurized milk? Is it risky health-wise?

2. Why do people pay ridiculous amounts for chickens? Like I know some rare breeds go 50 bucks or up. Is it a collector's thing? A breeder thing?

Ps stake- I've watched that video three times so far.

i have a dexter, i drink her milk, much better than whats in the store, they do say it's risky, health wise, but if you know where the milks coming from, like your own place, i don't think its risky. dexters are hardier than most other cows.
yes, i have paid a pretty penny for some chicks, or eggs, but i do it cause i like the birds, its not a collectors thing, but some people want to cash in on the "cash chicken", only do it for the money.in my oho

Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone can help me find some duck hatching eggs close to Carlisle? I have already tried and failed at hatching some out and I would love to be able to try again before spring but I don't want to ship eggs until I have a little more experience hatching them. I'm not looking for anything in particular, just ducks or anything other then chickens really.
If anyone could help me out I would appreciate it. Thanks
