Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Unfortunately, the neighbors are cousins (and, you are gonna love this ... One married my husband's half brother. That makes her my husband's cousin/sister-in-law/neighbor). They swear they know more about animals than I do, and everything I say is stupid. I admit I recently got some of their chickens laying again (I gave them a dose of Wazine). Anyway, they are not people you want to have animals. Imagine a litter of kittens walking around with maggots crawling out of their eyes. Yup. That happens.

BTW, Hi! Welcome to BYC!!!
I hear a banjo...

,......now that kitten thing is just NASTY!!!..poor babies...
Gavin yells at the TV every time it's on, "What is wrong with them?!?! Chickens love bugs and meat!" I get a kick outta it every time
Too cute!! If I didn't know better I'd have thought that was Sophie in the pic. She seems to be doing a tad better, they're going back on the 31st to recheck her hind legs.

All those colors are awesome. I'm looking forward to the other colors we should be getting.

x2

Geisinger is technically a teaching hospital as well. I almost always have an intern in the room during my appointments.
I hope Sophie will recover well...they are so small/fragile....Caesar gives me a heart attack every time the turd doesn't use the stairs that go up the bed, sometimes he gets brave/stupid..same difference, and he will jump off the bed ....

our floors do not have carpet...hardwood and laminate..very slippery...very bad for tiny legs!!!

** Here is suggestion for names of the two new blues....you wanted "halloween"theme...BOO-BERRY..like the cereal....ahahha, okay, I know ..LAME!!!!
**..I don't know alot about Geisinger..but there is also Hershey, and they are connected with Penn state..which is "learning" at both...

Tomorrow he has GI appointment. The last treatment didn't do anything so there better be some new tests run on him.
Good luck tomorrow!...will be thinking of you and your son!

I just "lost" my OEGF, the only white/cream egg layer I had. She was not in at the bed time count, :( I am thinking since she was the smallest of my girls she was picked off.. and she would always get out of the run... Thinking it was a hawk of some sort.. I am going to run fishing line across the top of my run, to discourage that hawks.
Maybe she is AWOL...hiding somewhere...did you find "evidence"?...so sorry she is missing..
Well folks had a close call with a red-tail....I was changing the water out when it swooped in,,,,fortunately the warning went out and the girls went running for cover...it got within 8' of them before it broke off...due to me running up the hill, one of my pooches, or the hawk wasn't ready to fly under the bush to get the girls...going to call hawk mt to get some anti-hawk advise...I think if it would've been a falcon it would have gotten one...
glad to hear they all made it...hawks are all over up here too, but I have alot of very large crows that like to hang-out...I think that helps a little. The neighbor letting their chickens free-range..all-over...keeps them busy away from my back yard too.

No evidence, but she never disappeared before.

Prayers coming your way. :hugs Has he been tested for C. Diff?

Yes he has in the past 2 years. Came back normal. He was tested for Ceilac, he had double scopes and radative tests, he was checked for leaky gut as well. He has has blood tests, xrays, ultrasounds, mri's. Most tests were done before he gallbladder surgery. Now I think we need to start all over, I don't know what else to do. Hopefully the GI doctor is on the same page.

I think it would have been found with the scopes, but Hiatal hernias can cause pain and reflux issues also...may be that there is more than 1 problem at this point. Often times a chronic condition can cause secondary effects when left untreated (such as chronic acid stomach eventually causing ulcerated areas above and below the stomach itself)

Does anyone do the monthly grocery shopping?
What is your strategy for not running out of things?
How did you get started with this?
How to convince hubby that he will not run out of everything?
Average bill and how may in the family?
Would it pay to shop different places on that day?

Just to add to that,,,I have kept track
Never shop on the week that food stamps come out, you will not get bargains
Same for social security checks, just not as bad
