Great idea.... along the same lines... you can lean 2 of them against each other, creating a structure that looks like a tent sort of . Halfway down the opening on each end just screw a board across to act as a brace. To brace the 'peak', cut a square out of a piece of plywood about 8 or 10 inches square, then cut it in half from a corner to corner, creating 2 triangles, screw a triangle onto the peak at each end. This will create a free standing structure you can place out in any open areas the birds like to roam in, or an open area they have to cross on the way back to their 'safe zone'.
Found a really nice house near Kittanning today. Just waiting on JJ's settlement check & hoping it's still available then. I'll have to build coops the week before we move in. Volunteers will be rewarded!!!!! The guy is really nice & willing to work with us on price. Other than coops it really doesn't need much to get it ready for move-in. And it's HUGE!!!

This is Harley, who is a royal palm tom.. he has found his way onto sitting on 2 duck eggs.. he has been there for about 4 days now.

He loved his feet scub/ massage soo much he just figured to stay there.
Getting ready for the farm show... slowly but surely! Will be making the rest of the cages this week once I get more money for the wire. I cant wait!
And to end everything with a BANG! I got a fence in the eye... eye doc said that I was very lucky that I missed the "vitals" but not by much.
