Wing: I started having sciatica 18 yrs ago when I was pregnant with number 2. I still get it every couple months. Vicodin, flexeril & a nap after a reallt hot bath or shower are the only thing that helps mine.

Anybody have or know where I can get an already processed turkey for Thankgsgiving? We have been back and forth on who was having Thanksgiving this year, now I have 2 weeks to find a bird!!

for those thinking about getting bantam cochin....here are some pics of what I got from Blarney, colors are looking awesome..please do not bust me for the dirty pen, I know I am way behind on cleaning.

they will not hold still long enough for a good pic, and those 2 OE are very protective of them
Cute!!

Both of my local feed mills will set up payments just like a utility company would do a budget plan....but you will still be a 3 hour trip away...

Chicken related news......the bator is chirping at me, it has rhodebars and bantam Cochin, a few mixed breed out of the layers just because I likes the egg colors. Some ducks also but they have another week to go, guess I better plug the other one in and he them seperated...

Non chicken related......Why do I feel guilty for calling off of work ? I hardly ever do this but dang it my back, butt and leg hurts,,,,,,,anyone know how to treat that nerve thingy that seems to be the problem.......I tolerate pain pretty good but this had me in agony to just put shoes on..
Wing...ever time is different for me when it starts-up..Some times a moist heat pad while laying on my side or even sitting up..depends on what is more comfortable at the time. Sometimes even an ice pack..I know it sounds weird, but it really does calm the nerve(for me)...a hot soak is usually a good idea. Then there is the obvious..pain meds...

Hope that thing gets under control soon..it can really get debilitating!

Hey everyone - got a little problem with my girls! They have not laid since the beginning of September.. I have given them omega 3 feed in their feed for a few days now & we put a heat lamp in as well... Wondering what we should do? 2 of them are about 2 yrs & the other 2 are not even a year- maybe 8 months old. We went from 3-4 eggs a day to 0 >.<. Please PRIVATE MESSAGE ME; as I am not on this site often enough to keep up with all the posts.. Please!!

My hubby goes to the chiropractor. Both of my hubby's Sciaticas are pinched. Inverstion table helps as well. My hubby has been having problems for a few years. He now gets injections for his pain. Hope you feel better soon.

Stupid iPad
Blarney that was. Yes ton the rhodebar, but the Cochin eggs came from root's auction, at least that is what the label said they were, we shall see.

Lisa, the doctor thing is not gonna happen, I have no insurance....but hubby did all the chores today, and I called off work, so there's some of the rest part..
how about the ice pack..........and ibuprofen........motrin type substance................to reduce inflammation.......

the rest thing sometimes takes time...........more than one day off...........

what about Medical assistance or............signing up for very low cost insurance.............

it sounds like your back .............

Thanks for all the advice, a hot shower after a day of rest, followed by vicodin seems to help...unfortunately I can only give this 1 day, hubby has offered to do the chores for a couple of days but I still need to go to work....
Been having back pain for a couple years but never like this. Hubby broke down and went to the chiropractor a few years ago, maybe I should also...just not monthly like he does...

I hope he remembers to feed and water everyone.

wing, my husband uses a inversion table and hangs upside down for a little while off and on, i've tried it, makes me feel like i'm going to fall on my head but it does work( sometimes my nerve pinches and feels like someone hit me with a cattle prod) he made his own but did have to buy the boots. what barney said about lying on your back with knees bend on couch work too.
