Great pics! Thanks for sharin! Can't wait to get there!!

I got up the nerve to put the new chickens on the roost with the old chickens for the night....now I'm worried about what the daylight will bring....lol  They had been outside in the run together for about half an hour with a little chasing & a few pecks then the 2 older ones went in to roost & we left the pop door open so the new ones could go in.  I told hubby they wouldn't go in & I was right, they were huddled up on the water heater cookie tin.  He "helped" them in & we closed the pop door.  It was quiet so we left.  I couldn't stand it so I talked hubby in to going out with me to check on them.   He thought they would be on the roost too but I said they would be on the floor where they had been sleeping since we got them & I was right, he put them up on the roost, we stood outside a bit & listened & all was quiet for those few minutes so we left.  But I strongly suspect that morning will be a different story.......stay tuned....lol

:hugs

Oh, good, I was not sure if you could see them if not on my friend list. I took pics of the cage tag also since I have no clue what breed is what, but did not post them since most of my friends don't "do" chickens. I did find out that bantams are cute as all get out, but not for me. Too small. I need big dual purpose birds. I keep telling myself "coop first, coop first".

Just go ahead & get chicks. It will force you to get in gear on the coop...lmao

We got to the farm show yesterday too. 'da Hubby who claims no interest in "my" chickens couldn't get over to the poultry area fast enough

He was all over the Brahmas and Cochins of course. And wandered around pouting for a bit because we already have 10 chickens and don't have room for him to get a Brahma, Cochin, Mille Fleur, and a Black Copper Marans any more. He's gonna be so "mad" at me come springtime when I find one of each for him.He thinks I'm making him help me expand the run because our current chickens need more room. ^_^

We also spent a long time looking at the turkeys and bantam ducks. Both of which he's also "not" interested in. I wish he'd quit putting on a show already and admit he's way more into "my" chickens than he lets on. I catch him out there quite often checking on them and watching them pick around the yard.

For the size of the farm show I was surprised at how few chickens there actually were there. I wonder if it was because of that confusion over those vaccines you guys were talking about a few pages back. It just seemed like a state wide show should have had more of a variety of chickens.

I know! I didn't even know bantam ducks existed. They are too cute for words. The one little guy was so talkative. Kept quacking and quacking. They have such a tiny little voice. Like bantam chickens. Just so cute!

Both of my daughters do showmanship of 4-H with poultry. They both placed in their age classes at the Bloomsburg Fair back in September(Older(15) daughter placed 1st and younger(10) placed 2nd. We didn't show at farm show though.
