In summer I'll be looking for Olive egger eggs. I asked my sister if she wanted me to hatch her a bantam buff cochin and she said no. So I'll be hatching out Olive Eggers it looks like. :)

I'm on a desperate hunt for a 4 1/2 month or older buff bantam cochin pullet. I only want to drive at most an hour. Like ASAP. Either ASAP (like, tomorrow) or in like 3 weeks.

Ahhhhhh! Wish I went! More info please! Was a black Orp champion English?? I wonder if it was Keith's....

I watched it on TV. They didn't say the owner's names, but they had several win. They were English. There was a pullet, hen, cockerel, and rooster winner, and a Best in Variety winner. I think. Dad's currently drilling the wall. I LOVED the cockerel winner. He was gorgeous.

ETA: There may be pictures of the winners on the website.

ETA: The winners are on there. I don't wanna post names in case the owners are on here and don't want me posting their names. :/

I got up the nerve to put the new chickens on the roost with the old chickens for the night....now I'm worried about what the daylight will bring....lol They had been outside in the run together for about half an hour with a little chasing & a few pecks then the 2 older ones went in to roost & we left the pop door open so the new ones could go in. I told hubby they wouldn't go in & I was right, they were huddled up on the water heater cookie tin. He "helped" them in & we closed the pop door. It was quiet so we left. I couldn't stand it so I talked hubby in to going out with me to check on them. He thought they would be on the roost too but I said they would be on the floor where they had been sleeping since we got them & I was right, he put them up on the roost, we stood outside a bit & listened & all was quiet for those few minutes so we left. But I strongly suspect that morning will be a different story.......stay tuned....lol

Thank you!! I did not know I could look on line at the winners! Doesn't look like Keith had any Orps entered, he seems to be showing ducks more these days. I did see they had 8 Orps shown as AOV...now I can hardly stand the wait to get there!!
