Wanted to quickly chime in...
Love the Dane pups!!!
May have another one way sooner than I ever expected... Our Ivan, only 5, having serious limitations with an enlarged heart already. Heartbreaking...

Back a few pages on the thread there was a discussion about new coops from old sheds...
Having bought one (too expensive ) Amish coop from a local shed company, and also having bought a new shed from a big box store kit and converted it to a coop, I'd do the second option again... Much more space for chickens and food storage...but it did require about three full weekends of work, and generally two people for most tasks (one to hold, one to hammer). We rented a nail gun which would have cut the time in half... But with the kids often jumping in to help it wasn't used.
We also hired a local shed company to move an existing shed...their delivery truck made it easy...so I'm guessing that even if they don't have a cheap one to sell, if you found someone local who wanted theirs gone, you might be able to get it moved at a reasonable price. Worth asking.
The shed we bought and converted (about 7x11 feet) was about 1000 including delivery, shingles, and lumber and hardware cloth to frame the coop area inside, (about 1/2 the floor space). At the moment it's back to just a shed, full of lawn furniture and bikes...we're really happy we kept the shed or coop option open!
A bit jealous of all the new chicks...we have 7 hens now, more than we need, so trying to resist the chicken math...
