That's me too fisherlady! Went out to feed this morning in our lovely -9°F to find my rubber water pans frozen so solid I literally had to jump up & down on them to get enough ice out to add hot water. This old fat woman doesn't walk well, let alone jump. Nearly gave myself 2 black eyes when I forgot to fold my arm across my chest first.

Being a fellow boater, I've found using a wobble board helps with balance though I don't think I'd want my mother using one....really help when the boat is rocking....my two cents....

Great tip! Never thought of it for boating, but would be a good way to have people 'practice' for boat's pitch and roll.

thank goodness we're down in the panhandle of florida trying to stay warm, but it followed up down I think, freezing rain and snow tonight
son is taking care of the animals for us, I feel for ya'll

I am also in a baking mood, but DH hasn't finished the 2 layer pineapple cake I made him last Friday and there are still 3 dozen cookies in the freezer from my last cookie baking day. I may be able to do an Egg Custard Pie though... he likes it and I can always take half to his oldest sister (disabled from Polio as a youngster, so she has trouble spending extended periods at counter or trying to get things out of the oven)

I have a few breeders lined up, but......
If there are any Californians, new Zealands, or champagne d'argent, really cheap, I might take a few. Really cheap, like under $5. I can always grow them out for food.

Wood on the fire, sun shining in love it when the temperature in here comes up. Certainly gets me awake getting out of bed into a 56℉ house. At least its up to a comfy 67 now. Now to go outside and do some chores.
