Power is out. Generator won't start. 2 brooders in the house that I need heat to.... I can feel the temp dropping in here, need to think about the people children now...

We used to have a dehydrator. The plastic trays were very brittle. I'd go with the stainless if the price was not too much higher. I'd think the stainless could also go in the dishwasher.

y'all are scaring me, everyone is starting to loose power, should it not get better with daylight!!! good grief paranoid I have ALOT of babies right now! and three bators on!

Hope everyone made it thru the storm ok. Got about 1/4 inch of sleet here and still have power(we'll see how long that goes) I put my 8 broilers out in the rabbit pen that is attached to the chicken coop last night. I was worried all night but just went and checked and they're all doing fine. They did spill their water but I fixed that! Was so worried since they are only 2 1/2 weeks old but they did great.

Put your chicks in boxes with lids if you need to. It will help them stay close together for warmth & help keep their body heat in.

Still getting ice here & already a good 6-8 inches on the ground. Supposed to get a mix of snow, ice & rain hete until noon or so.

good grief stop sending it this way!! Your still getting it!!! that means we have a day full of it!!! the trees are already hanging hard! If we loose electric I will scream having to set generator and cords up for everything!!!! arggggggggggggggggggggg enough is enough!!

We are almost out of coal too, cant get the delivery dude in the drive, and now it looks like we never will!!!! our chickens are going to loose there protection from wind when I start bringing in wood from their wood piles!!! (thats what I use for wind block lol) and they love them too
