If I buy SS chicks again, I'll buy from west York Agway. They are at least pullets compared to TSC' s SS were straight run. I bought 5 chicks at the time and ended up with 3 roos.

We got ours from TSC and ended up with 6-7 Roos out of 12. Yeah not fun. Now I have my SS roo, Chief, the one lucky one that got to stay. He is around 5 now. Am I going to have to worry about fertility issues with him soon due to his age? We always talk about the hens but what about the Roo's?
