I'm not gonna win any photography awards, am I? He looked really good with the sun hitting him, but it washed out the photo. He is 100% silkie, but the barring gene dilutes the melanin in his comb and wattles along with the feathers.

Would love to have him but not sure how to get him here without shipping.

Hi Guys!

Just wanted to check in and let you know despite my efforts little chewy passed away on her own.

And my try at hatching eggs on my own was a fail..they started developing then stopped for some reason! My silkie is doing a good job of it on her own outside...I have watched her steal other eggs just to be able to sit on more of them! Crazy girl.

On a happy/sadder note (for me) All of our pups have found homes! Thats the happy part...Now momma has empty nest syndrome. Taking care of one pup is nothing compared to having 10!

Here is the news addition to our family.

Yeah, it's a long haul from Ohio to northern Chester County. Maybe I could send you some eggs when the hens start laying (no guarantee on when that might be, silkie hens are all about "quality over quantity", you know).
