speaking of boys and girls, I tried vent sexing the duckies (I am really bad at that ) if it is correct, I have 2 boys and 6 girls....I doubt that ratio is correct, things never go that way for me....

Try sexing them in a day or 2. With the smaller breed ducks it gets easier when they are 1-2 weeks old.

I hope the weather forecast for next week is wrong,,, says it could hit 50's.......now I would really like some warm days but with this much snow on the ground, those temps could be devastating with widespread flooding...

this is what I was thinking too! m

so much snow on roofs and everywhere-----if it warms..........it will be heavy wet and people will have problems with water and maybe freezing over night..............

not sure which is better...........consistent cold or warming

how about gradual warming so that all this snow can go away yet without additional problems!

Why do some use the lights???

just a question since most people get into chickens because they want natural food and not the store bought,,,,seems to me that messing with the natural laying of the chicken is the same as the store bought...... and a fire hazard,,,,are those eggs really worth all that.

As for the Warren temperatures, I don't think 50 during the day will cause a gatt runoff if there is no rain. This coming from someone who lives next to the creek and always keeps an Eye on it.
