I have every egg marked by pen and there are a lot of them.  Well, I don't mark the Ameraucanas - they are the only blue egg layers I have!
BBSO - Blue/Black/Splash bantam Orps - Father is 100% English.
BMF - Bear Mille Fleur (Bear and his 3 girls)
MMF - Mixed Mile Fleur (a winter pen with all but 3 girls and 1 boy)
Cho - Bantam Chocolate Orps (2 pens)
O - Otis - Bantam chocolate Orp over black bantam Cochins
J - Jamie - Black/Blue bantam Cochins
T - Tom - Black bantam Cochin over bantam chocolate Orps
E - Ego - Black/Blue bantam Cochins

My eggs all get marked with date collected & which pen...but my flock is diverse enough I can usually tell which hen laid each egg or narrow it down to 2 or 3 possibilities. If I see an issue & need to know for sure I just separate those couple of hens.

Btw, my hen, i am sure now she cant see. She can hear fine but she has major issues finding the food & water dish...

Ok, i have to share this because it is haunting me and i am wondering if it bothers anyone else. What is haunting me is going to auctions, ie; Roots etc. and the birds and animals there in the dead of summer have no water. Am i crazy or does this bother others as well. Cause if it does i have an idea...

I just put 39 rainbow layers, 4 polish/ee, 15 ancona duck & 2 turkey in. That would be the 60 eggs in the top pic. Chicks will be hatching first week of March. I set about 1 batch per week this time of year so almost always have something hatching.

picked up a few hens today so I could have a good look at them and check for any signs of frostbite,,,,why are these girls starting to molt again,,,,,I know the coops stay fairly warm but have they not looked outside.

I know! I am going thru the same thing. My Barred Holland hens are molting now?!?!?!!

Wow! Ok then guess i need to know prices then. But as i am thinking now... 7 rainbow layers, 2-3 polish/ee, and if possible i may just take two turkeys..
