I swear our vehicles are the single most bank account draining thing we own,,,we repair them more often than our house, and then just normal operating cost.

Unfortunately with critters we need to keep bigger vehicles on the road, a small compact car just will not do...

I also had a major breakdown in the house,,,,,but no where near as costly as the vehicle..

what broke in the house!   or did you have a breakdown :barnie

both, but I have been broken for year's...

hot water heater is being a pain, it is just not worth fixing anymore, time for a new one..

I had a dream our WHeater went the other day, everyone thought it was the end of the world to not have hot water for a week.... in my dreams only of course, like they would EVER have issues like that! :lau

We shall not discuss the number of times we have been without hot water (or even cold water) in the past 3 years.

Wing: If you haven't found a home for those spare eggs I'm betting MarineCorpFarmr would love to have them. He lost most of his flocks to a couple crazy landlords & predator attacks in the past 6 months. We have been egg bombing him to help him rebuild.

Our lawn is still under a foot of snow. More snow is coming on Tuesday. I'm ready for spring. (Southern Berks County)
I currently have 3 Swedish Flower Hens, and 9 eggs in the 'bator. (I got rid of my roos 11 days ago, because DH hates the sound of roosters crowing.)
SFH are a good dual purpose breed, they are good foragers (but not in snow!) and lay lots of large eggs.

Stake, Thanks! I posted in this thread a few years ago, but not recently. It moves a little too fast for me to keep up with. I live near Boyertown/Douglassviliie/Yellow House/Oley. There's a little village down the road called Woodchoppertown!

It's official! I called the Altoona TSC. Chicks should be in on Monday. Hubby approved so looks like we're heading to Altoona on Monday morning :) I'll have to let you guys know what we end up coming home with lol.

just one pic until I can go thru them,,,,,,I got grass

and mud.....

need to ask a favor from some of you,,,,,I am in no way a religious person but right now things are not looking good,,,to many phone calls today....
sister in law who has been fighting lung cancer for a few years has been admitted to hospice this afternoon,,, then i get a call that my older brother was taken to the hospital, he is severly dehydrated and his kidneys are not working because of it, and on top of this we have not yet told the father in law any of this because he has been shaky and falling down all week for no reason..(not sure what his problem is but he refuses to go get checked)...guess we need to tell him that his oldest daughter is in hospice, no getting around that one...........

could use some kind of luck the next couple of days..

on a good note though,,,,,i got some work done to try to keep my mind off of things for a little while.....

when it rains it pours..!!

now Sally, about that mental breakdown !!!!!!!!!!
