It also helps when people catch me at just the right time, I was on my way to gather eggs, so it was no big deal to just set some aside instead of in the fridge....

I need more eggs. I have been selling 2 and 3 dozen at a time. I have a wait list for my eggs once the people try them. At least it pays for my feed costs now.
unfortunately around here many people have a backwards illusion,,,,,they think that backyard flocks are dirty and only the eggs at the store are clean because they are pure white....or they think that the yolk is suppose to be a washed out yellow....we will not go into what they think about letting eggs sit out on a counter......green eggs are obviously spoiled....etc....

I thought about taking a cooler full every week to my mother's, who lives in the center of town and seeing if I could sell them to people who would not ordinarily buy farm eggs.

400

Miserable hatch, under 50%. Weather was bad when I gathered, that cold first week in March. Certain days did better than others, I had dated them.
Light ones are silkie mix, I can't keep her out of the pen. 5 darker are SFH.
See what happens with the next batch.

When I had my Easter Egger I kept her eggs just because her eggs made me smile when I opened the fridge. lol I gave one to one of the people that have been buying my eggs from the beginning. Her teenage daughter thought that green egg was the best. She asked if I had any more green eggs and I told her no. I am going to be picking up an Easter Egger in April. Can't wait, miss my pretty eggs. I sell my eggs from a group on Facebook, local yard sale page. I quoted from Mother Earth Magazine about nutritional value of fresh eggs compared to store bought eggs.
