So one of my babies won't stay in the brooder. Likes to sit on the arm of the chair next to me or on my lap or on my hand. How likely does that mean that it is really going to be a rooster and not a hen?

I'm working on my coop design. How high on stilts should the coop itself be if I want to use the space underneath for extra run area for them? I'm thinking two feet or should it be two and a half?

Seriously why is there white things fall from the sky again!!! enought snow already, bring on the spring temps and flowers!
I know what you mean,,,it takes much more motivation for me to get moving on these gloomy days.....I much prefer summer,,,heat and all...

looking at this pic again.....what is suporting the weight of the water tub in the middle?? will that not be a problem in the long run ?

I have the old pig mats that I could use instead of heat lamps, would they work with wet ducks, hubby says they can get wet, but how wet??

CC... do you need a spare job on the side??? I have a large scrap pile of wood??? and a large shop to work in?

what about hanging a side feeder like for rabbits, would ducks use that without a huge mess, one of my quail pens has them?
