That would depend on when during the incubation and how long. I'm not an expert. I believe the temperature is in the pepper range, not great on Celsius, but I think that converts to 99,5-100°f, which is good.
Sally sunshine has an excellent incubation tutorial. I don't have the link, but I'm sure someone can post it. I think it is hatching 101. Do a search on here for it. It tells you everything you want to know and more.
COWS!!!!! We need cows! And horses! And ducks! And geese! And quail, and peacocks, and CATS! We need cats!! Maybe ferrets, and pigs, and donkeys and we can make some mules, and we can .... Woman, watch what you ask me. I may be a city girl, but I love animals!

We should serve fried chicken, baked chicken, chicken nuggets, chicken ...
Okay...You KNOW how I would LOVE a mini-cow.....don't do that! Quail are also something we talked about for future endeavours...no cats, ducks- geese(need a pond), peacocks are really cool, but are LOUD! No-ferrets..too much like cats, hummm pigs????, on the maybe list....no donkeys, mules or horses..although I am a good rider..used to take English lesson...no-not the language
....I know you love animals, so do I(wanted to be a vet) ...that is why we MUST help each other to keep our manias in-check, cause if we don't...we will ..we would....be what?.....eternally happy...no-no......over-run!!! that is it!
****Who had the Fountain..bird thing? Did you happen to get a better picture of that thing? Was wondering what it really looked like...
I keep mine in individual all write cages. Rabbits chew on wood, a lot. They also poo a lot. I get a feed bag of it every week it out 9. For fertilizer, though.
If you use wood in a hutch, do not use treated wood, their systems are sensitive. They need shade ( not dark, they need light) and cool, hot is worse than cold for them. Mine are in an open shed, protected from rain but lots of fresh air.
My does cages are 36x30, bucks are 30x30, both 18 high with dropping pans. I bought mine, they were the expensive part. Floor is 1x½, sides and top 1x2. If anyone wants, I'll take a few pictures of my setup.
I feed pellets and Timothy hay. Occasional treats of fresh greens. I don't plan to put mine on grass ( it can be done) because of worms, and I'd rather not be giving them wormer since I don't know the withdrawal time to slaughter. There are those that out then in movable cages on the ground similar to chicken tractors with wire bottoms since rabbits also dig. They are also easy predator food.
The breeders I bought from all recommended 18% protein pellets, manta seems to be easily available ( in other words, they have it at tractor supply.)
I have sunburn, and I hurt so bad that my eyelashes ache. But! I have the two older poults outside for "good"!!
They were in desperate need of more room, and somewhere I didn't have to smell them!
This is where they have been. The last few days were too cold and wet to have them outside for the day. This morning they pecked two holes in the screen.
This was their day pen when it wasn't too bad out.
This is a chicken. Don't let the fur like feathers fool you! It crows, it struts, it loves corn and lettuce, and goes crazy for FF.
The boys are happy to have head room, and room to stretch their wings.
I don't know how it happened, but I have a sunburn tattoo thingy across my lower-back butt,( there is a word for it, but I don't want to offend anyone)...I had 3-layers on!! Cause you know how I am with the sun
.....yeah, that area doesn't see the light of any day..so, I know the hurting feeling! Your birds look great ABi!! Those turkeys are BIGGIN's...so, when is dinner?
...okay, I am in coop envy here! Look at all those...is that the crates you picked up from Stake?...oh-man..did I ever miss out
Finally got the 4 khaki Campbell ducks out of the house yesterday. Yes!!
They were really stinking up the basement. We built them their own coop but they will share the run with the chickens. We put up a temporary fence between them and the chickens for now. Chickens are pretty much ignoring them, don't know if that's a good thing or not. I'm so lucky to have a husband that loves projects, I buy the animals and he figures out how to house them. I use to complain about him hoarding junk but he built the duck house and the only thing we needed to buy was a lock for the front door, everything else was laying around in his garage. I'll take pictures later to show everyone
I have had my incubator on for 2 days now and my hygrometer arrived yeastarday, and i put it in before i went to bed and i went up this morning and it said the temp was 35.7 and the humidity was 61%, i got the temp up to 37.7 - 37.5 but i havent got the humidity down yet. Will this wreck the hatch, is it too late or is there still a chance,
the reason i put it on with out my hygrometer was because it the box said it was accurate im going to get another thermometer later to make sure it was right. Any help please
what are you hatching?...cause I think your temp.needs to be higher...but, maybe someone who knows more will chime in...I don't understand why you can't get the temp. higher
No, I haven't fallen off the planet, just been super busy with house renovations.
Butchered our first chicken the other day. Stupid sebright roo. Totally not worth the effort, but it was a learning experience and he made the mistake of attacking my 3yo grandson.
For all those asking to be added to the map, at the moment my main internet access is my windows phone....not the easiest way to do it, so I will get to it later.
I want lions and tigers and bears! And elephants! I read they have developed a mini elephant! I want a big one though! Take that Amish buggy! I'm riding my elephant!
For those that may have missed it, randerson has joined our group from across the pond (N Ireland if I recall).
Humidity is high if unless you are in lockdown. The only thing you can do is get the water out of the incubator and/or remove any vent plugs it may have. I run mine without water until lockdown, but that's just me.
