Any ideas, please chime in here.
I have small black silkie Roo's and I have some larger white silkie Roo's, I also have a large mix that is from a silkie too/buff Orpington, he is one of my favorites but carries a really light colored skin..

I like experimenting, it is the reason my layer flock looks so odd.

Great, now she tells me -- after selling me some Breese eggs.

JK- I "bought" that batch for the cochin and muscovies, the breese were just an add-on bonus, as anyone who's been the subject of wing's generosity knows she is prone to do. I do hope they hatch, worst case, I have a friend who likes raising meat birds, he will happily provide them a (temporary) home.
 
Lancaster County, Manheim. I'm getting over run by roosters! Currently have a few Dominiques, New Hampshire reds, and 7 golden laced hens in the brooder box.

At least of of the dark skin and leg traits are sex-linked and I'm still trying to learn about that. I was not interested in silkie crosses until we talked, now I want to understand how the FM trait (that produces black skin and flesh) works. I've seen a lot of silkie crosses and they never worked the way I've recently heard that FM trait is supposed to work.

More research is need on my part before I can really say what you should do. There is a BYC user named nicalandia that I've learned a lot from. He's the one that described the silkie/leghorn cross, so if you ask him for advice it's a lot more trustworthy.

Drop those extra roos off at wingstone's farm, she'll give them a warm reception. Just don't mention to the kids what she will be doing to them.
 
That's weird, I replied to you (Boalsburg) about the wild chickens, and someone in Mt. Wolf about living there, I don't know how the posts got crossed
 
I thought that broody silkie poop stunk. Today my broody turkey hen let out a load (almost on my foot) and oh boy that stunk up the outside air.

Welcome! I think we are all over run. Wingstone is in Mount Joy. She'll eat them! Just letting you know. I'm over toward Mount Joy, kind of the Manheim side.
