Love the color on those Lilacs! My double whites (a gift from my father to my mother) finally decided to bloom this year, the fragrance is simply intoxicating. The rabbit situation is misfortunate. Luckily, or maybe not...Bella takes care of all the baby bunnies here.

Handsome guy! I like the Viburnum too. How do you plan to move such a large shrub? I can't seem to muster up the strength to move the 2 foot hollies out front of my house.

The lilacs took quite a few year to bloom for us. The bush was about 5 foot tall before it did anything.

... We keep it around that height now, I can't be on ladders to keep up with things..that is why everything here is dwarf-sized...even me!! ahahahaha...

I was given this plant by a customer, really nice guy...he is gone now. The bush was no more than a twig when we planted it..didn't know if it would make it a few times, but it sure is beautiful now.

**I think the other broody(Ginger) is "cured" of her issue...she was out this morning with the others...looking not sullen as yesterday. I am still keeping the "sponge" nest box in there, i did add the other nest box for the other hens. Hopefully this is the end to that particular saga...
Hen-Bree & chicks did very well through the night in their new 'coop'-nest. So relieved that situation has calmed and everyone is content again.
 
Not that I don't haveEnough to do, but...

I ordered about 150 trees and shrubs. A lot of stuff I'll never get to enjoy, I'll be dead before they mature, but I need to do something with a big open field in a flood plain. Also a buffer for the creek.

my two cents....rent a bobcat with an auger!!!
 
Big viburnum is staying put. It sends up babies that need dug up. That and the apple tree and the pear trees are the only things not on the chopping block. The arbor vitae hedge is going, so are the tall ones that are dying in the back. Oh, the raspberries are staying. Peach trees already gone. They were not very good.

hahaha, I know what you mean!! I would Love 1..2..of those myself!! hahha, still trying to talk the DH into this adventure..It is so bad now that I have the neighbor involved!! ahahaha, she has goats too... she told him we have PLENTY of yard..& don't worry about the neighbors...they will be fine! hahahaha
He is going to loose this one, I know it...just a mater of time

***Hey Blarney- how much milk do you get from your goats, generally? Trying to get a bead-on what types/breeds to look at..I need small animals,that is why I am thinking that Nigerians would work.. and they don't have to be "huge" producers...but would like to have a little extra, for friends/family from time to time.
