How old did you say those bobwhite were when they started laying, I plan to keep the pair of Tennessee red since I can not find any more at a reasonable price, I am gonna hatch from this pair if they ever stat to lay... they are 5 months and no eggs yet.

I hate to say this, but one year. There was no male with them until then. Don't know if that makes a difference.

It's good that your Landlord wants you to have chickens. The sale starts at !0 o'clock with miscellaneous items such as cages, feeders, wire, waters, etc..... after these things are sold they start with the poultry.

On a usual Friday evening you can take your poultry in your own cages and on the ticket just write "no cage" and they allow you to take your cage back home. Today the cage goes with the poultry in it, it just makes it easier.

I took 46 head of chickens to sell. I probably won't come home with that many.

I am going to the middleburg auction and I was told I take them there in my cage and they provide a cage for you and just auction them off and I keep my cage. Hmm makes me wonder now because mine is really old and like 60 + years. It is my pap's and I don't know what else to put them in.

My ducks are hatching, should i mist them i haven't misted them the whole time but would it help and if so, don't i just spray a little bit on the whole egg, and how often should i do it:) thanks

What breed of duck, some hatch easier than others..

I have better duck hatches when I treat them just like chicken eggs...with no extra moisture.

So I have a question about what you guys would do.

I have 4 chicks (4 weeks old), and they're getting big. I'm hatching more chicks next weekend. I'm keeping the serama chick from this batch. There's a swap tomorrow, and the next one is in 3 weeks. I can't wait that long. They're getting big and stinky and I want to get rid of them before the new chicks hatch because I'm afraid of bullying. Sorry if I'm being confusing. Let me know if you need some clarifying.

Should I sell the 3 big chicks tomorrow and keep the serama alone for a whole week? Or keep another chick and just have them in a divider until the new chicks hatch and then sell the big chick all by itself? I'm just confused on what I'm gonna do. I have until tomorrow morning to decide.

What would you guys do?

I, not sure the man just gave them to me and i forgot to ask, i think they may be pekins, and the humidity is at 65% is that to low should it be higher ?:)
