I froze some eggs in an ice cube tray because I was thinking there would be a decline in egg laying by my girls this winter.
Today I wanted to move the eggs into a baggie..........but they were hard to get out of the tray .................so.........I left them a bit too long............I forgot they were out..............to defrost a bit
I got a few cubes out okay and put in the freezer but the other defrosted quite a bit.............not entirely but maybe halfway.
Are they safe to refreeze or did I spoil them this way?
I know you cant thaw and then refreeze meat but what about eggs?
this is the first time I am doing this..............hate to get sick or die over frozen eggs..........
Refreeze them. They weren't room temperature, and even a room temperature egg is safe.
I think we are all forgetting that we lived through our mothers leaving meat to defrost on the counter all day long.
