Oregano and cinnamon in place of antibiotics, has anyone tried this approach, what happened? Premarinated if nothing else....

And what would these two things do.

hi win i am not sure if anyone replied yet, but both cinnamon and oregano are bot natural abs. cinnamon also promotes healthy breathing. i have a bottle of oregano oil in my chicken first aid kit. it can be used for combatting coccidia, salmonella, infectiuos bronchitis, avian flu, e coli, and strengthens the immune system. it can be given internally and used externally. hope that helps.

I'm not picky on coloring at all actually. Not crazy about those strange turkens, but other than that I haven't met a chicken I don't like. My name is Anne Marie and I have a problem......
Anne:

Give it time....after you get the flock to maximum size you decide you need different colored eggs....then you notice there's no red or yellow/lavender/splash/white in your flock...then no crested or frizzle...no feathered feat....then no bantams or giants...

Almost that time...

I'm babysitting a rooster for someone while their neighbor tries to sell their house.

What has happened to me?

This is hysterical! Are they tricking the new buyers into thinking they are buying into a quiet neighborhood? I can just hear the realtor 'Lose the rooster,'.
Perhaps we need to revisit this video....

. love this video! I think that's my long lost sister on there.
lol that was great!

Now some pictures of Cloud with the whole crew :)

the view from inside the coop this morning as the sun was coming up. It was more pink than the picture shows though. They have a really nice view. Especially now that a lot of leaves have fallen.

Love the pics, the chickies look cute, and so you you and Hubby!

So in reference to the Craigslist thing... I saw someone had an ad for a free Silkie barnyard mix chicken. Of course I emailed to see if it was still available. Most of the time you don't get a quick response or a response at all. Go figure, this is the answer I got:

yes, usually available any day during the week after 6pm due to work, (address) pa, 18917 also have four 5 mo old full silkie chix if interested. please email me whenyou plan on coming....

Now what do I do? I don't want to overload my coop. I have enough room in the coop, but not enough roosting space. Is it not healthy to have a girl or two in the nesting box to sleep? What did I get myself into?

I wondering if someone needs a few new babies... @roseschicks
