My little silkie's eggs never hatched, they froze. She is still sitting (not on any eggs though) I think we will have to give her some chicks to take care of.

My son hasn't been to school on a Monday since last year! Tomorrow we will have another 2 hour delay because of the cold. Today felt like a heat wave, made it in the 20's. Felt good going out to take care of the crew and not feel like my face will fall off!!! Tonight we are supposed to be -8 again (without the windchill

The school district here (Warren, Pa) Will NOT call a cancellation! We have had only 2 cancellations! My nephews bus has broken down 4 times! One time the diesel froze, While they were in it! Barbiegirl, it says your location is Northeast pa. Do you mean the town northeast like near erie or actual NE pa?

Oh sounds like your son is going to school late into summer! We get all the normal cold, snowy weather. (Last year we were the snowiest city in the U.S) But our school district refuses to call a snow day. We just got a new superintendant and he doesnt believe in 2 hr delays (Sometime the bus companies make him call a 2 hr delay though) And he hates snow days! The bus companies call everything by just saying "We are not taking kids to school. Either find a new bus company or drive them yourself! (I am friends with the owner of the bus company so I know what goes on)
 
We have so many little back roads that have turns and twists that the buses can't make it through, it is not safe. They don't know how to make straight roads out here. I live on a private road so the bus doesn't come up my road, don't think it would make it, my road sucks. The school district took away holiday day off. We didn't have President's day off ( it was too cold and school was cancelled anyway lol) and we won't have an Easter break now. They were trying to make up days. We don't have to make up the days for the manhunt.

We dont get holidays but we have random days off. Like we didnt have marthur luther king day off but we had that thursday and friday off afterwards. It makes it seem like they were trying to be racist?
 
We used to get Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Monday off for "spring break". Now we will just have Good Friday off. I feel bad for all the families that had made vacation plans and such.
