Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Me neither! Good to know.

I can run from Philadelphia -Bucks- Montgomery area to your location for the chicken railroad. We need a map for everyone I think! I will be heading up to Bradford County - Binghamton area the second week of March if anyone needs transport.

I've mentioned it a few times already, but I regularly travel from Beaver County (northwest of Pittsburgh) to the Lehigh Valley/Allentown area and would be happy to be part of the 'chicken railroad' for any stops near the turnpike between PPG and Harrisburg or along 81 - 22 between Harrisburg and Allentown. I also make stops in the Kutztown and Fleetwood area and Lehighton/Jim Thorpe area every time I'm back home.

Thinking of redoing some fences here, as well. I'd really like to put in wood posts, just not looking forward to digging all the holes, even if I buy an auger. I put in a split rail once, 24 holes in one day and I was beat. And I was quite a bit younger then.

We rented a post hole digger from tractor supply and did 30 holes for 8 foot posts for our garden. Took the hubby and I both to do it but only took a few hours.

me too....I pick ticks off weekly and hubby just looks at me. says he never had a tick....i zip my mouth on that one...

I use rose geranium essential oil on all of us whenever we're outside to keep ticks away. Drops rubbbed behind each ear, on each wrist and back of both knees. It works extremely well. No ticks on any of us all last year. Hubby even used it during hunting season. Can also use it on dogs, drop rubbed in between their ears and tail/butt area. Ticks have been really awful the past few years.

Wing, your little cochin just laid her first egg today! She is so sweet and we really enjoy her. I will check tomorrow to see if it is fertile, that Silkie roo has been molesting her everyday.

My Aerogarden (countertop hydroponics from the thrift store! ). Is doing well. Fresh basil, arugula, thyme, and the oregano has sprouted. Think I might put these right into the garden when spring comes...
