Ok, so if you were making say a 250lb batch, would you cut the vitamins in half or not?
Yes, you would cut everything in half...but I have never found a mill willing to do a special mix less than 500 pounds. Some even require 1,000 pounds. If 500 pounds is too much at a time, maybe you could find someone close to you to split an order with.

\ Yeah maybe... I just made a quick call and there is one about 40 min away that will do a special mix of 500lb. But they can bag it for me in 50lb bags and I can pick it up as I go... I need to call the one closest to me but have not found there number yet.

Mine is always bagged, but sometimes they stuff more than the 50 pounds in a bag. I've had bags weighing close to 70 pounds from this last mill just because that's what fit. I asked them if they were trying to kill me!!

Technically, due to a screwed up back, hip, knee & ankle, I'm not supposed to be carrying more than 10 pounds at a time & certainly not 50-70 pound bags of feed flung over my bad shoulder up a steep bank to the coop 500-1000 pounds at a time. Luckily, the bad shoulder is opposite the bad leg so I can somewhat balance. But when they get much more than 50 pounds in the bags, I can't get them flipped high enough to shoulder them & have to bear hug them & waddle up the hill. No, you are NOT getting pix of the fat lady waddling up the hill with feed bags...lol

lol. Do you not own a truck? Could you just load the bags in the truck? If I wanted I could load all the bags in the gator but its only about a 300ft walk.... My mom had a hysterectomy about a yr ago and at that time they had just got a puppy a few weeks before and she said it was the worst not being able to hold it! She was only allowed to hold 2 lbs at a time. I do not know what inspired them to get a puppy right before her surgery?
