The free ones? I asked about those :)

No one, no one has self control. :)

Haha yeah! Those ones. I think I'm going to start hatching more for swaps and stuff. I didn't know people would even be interested in them.
Also that whole thing today was really cool. It's nice to see a bunch of people all interested in farm stuff come together for a local event. Everyone was really friendly.

Need to share, got a buckling in with the does and he is just a whole lotta sweetness -with a bit of stinky mixed in.

Breeding time?

I love the tricolors!

Yep, I have 2 open does, he is here to remedy that, his tri color and blue eyes are what people like, I hope I get some pretty babies from those breedings. My other 2 does are getting very close to kidding, can't wait to meet those youngins.

These are dwarfs right? I have a pygmy doe in need of a boyfriend.

Pics please if everything works out!

Last night I decided to be lazy and let the little cubalaya hen sleep in the arborvitae bushes, but I still locked up my other hens. This morning from at least six a.m., I hear the most disturbed chicken calling, but not one I had heard before. When I went outside, she was perched on the very top of the chicken coop screaming (squawking)! Reminded me of Moses, "Let my people go!". I was surprised she was so disturbed, but I guess she could hear them inside and has become a part of the flock. We had the windows open last night so hubby was less than amused, she was quite loud. :gig

Yes, dwarf Nigerians. The buck does not belong to me, but we are considering asking to buy him, or keep a buck from our breeding this year. We expect about 8 kids, probably more, possibly less.

Thought I'd share something silly... Whenever I receive shipped eggs at the Post Office marked 'hatching eggs', the postal lady thinks the eggs are actively hatching. So she always says , 'oooooh, you here for the chicks?' :/
