Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Just figured I'd post here, I have a few bantam cochin cockerels that I don't want to take from mama yet but will be available soon. Their dad is the best roo I've ever had. All the girls love him, he's really a sweet boy. Never has come after anyone, not even once.

Just trying to share the good roo wealth, I know they're hard to find.

This is from last week, they're getting their wing feathers and little combs now.
I might be interested in one I have a new flock and no roos my flock is only a week old.

I put 131 eggs into lockdown in my coolerbator hatcher tonight

I didn't think I had that many, my record keeping must be getting sloppy.

Dheltzel, I think I may be interested in some of your New Hampshire eggs,if possible.Niko is on the nest at night also and I read that that is a true sign. She does go eat if I physically toss her out but otherwise she stays put.

Hi All,

I am in SE PA looking for an adult rooster. Bantam or SF. Anyone wanting to make space for their new, younger boys or too many roos...let me know!!!

Something like, Ameraucana, Faverolle, Cochin...I like alot of feathers and the unusual.

HOPING to pick up this weekend!

We have a nice place, plenty of room and grass and dust baths and bugs. 1/4 to roam around in.

I did post in buy sell trade, not too much interest, figure i'd put it out to my neighbors.

That's good, I wasn't going to go anyway for that very reason. So many people will still show up though, then be mad when they won't be let in. Thanks for letting me know!

welcome, a friend emailed me this morning and told me, i hadn't heard it either, i would have gone if he hadn't emailed but then i'm only about 12 miles away

I'm about an hour away, so I'm glad I found out. I'm really scared about AI though, if they're already cancelling all poultry events, it must be getting worse.

Where are you located? I'm in SW Pa, near Delmont :)

Edit: I see you're in Hermitage. :)

I'm sure plenty on here have something.
I have a lavender Orpington in Lancaster county if that helps you. Or a partridge Orpington. Or both, lol.

You sound like a great Mommy and I love your song! Every time I see that though, I'm going to be singing "Chicken Jelly"! Lol. :lau

Where is @wingstone. Haven't heard much from her lately. :frow

Been wondering the same thing about wingstone. If she doesn't show up soon, I'll run over to check on her this week. I do know she has been busy with spring and projects as well as on that job hunt. Spring on the farm is an extremely busy time.

Before I drop a couple grand this weekend, anyone have anything good or bad to say about large riding mowers. Looking at husqvarna in the 48" range to cover 2-3 acres. How do they hold up? Wish I could afford a rider and a tractor with a belly motor, but money is tight. Need to make do with a rider.
