Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

So I have been looking FOREVER for adult Silkies in nw pa and wondered if anyone knew of a non cancelled swap or someone who could help me. I drive near grove city often and Erie as well so any in that area. Thank you.

Check your TSC swaps, I know around here (SW PA) silkies are very popular. If you're willing to travel to Boyers, PA I know a woman who breeds silkies and I'd love to send some business to her. She's super nice and helpful, is very knowledgable, and I was very pleased with the things I purchased from her.

All public swaps are banned until further notice. Private sales are all you will find. Try craigslist, facebook groups & check for fliers at local feed stores & mills.

Thanks! That is my problem that all public things are banned. Can you still ship adult birds?

Our local TSC's still have theirs... :/ Not trying to be annoying about it, but did you call your local TSC and verify that it is cancelled?

I haven't tried since the ban but I'm npip so I don't see why I couldn't. What were you looking for again? I lost the post.

Adult silkies. Or at least pullets just not chicks or eggs right now. I have enough on my plate that I don't want to add more chicks or eggs.

All I have at the moment is silkie mix chicks & a white silkie roo. I lost all but my blue partridge silkie roo & my blue partridge sizzle hen over the wiinter. Ended up with the white roo as a rescue with 3 other birds.

Not to mention cold! Am I the only one that's been in a sweat shirt all day?

I wore long under wear out to to the barn...

I hate pa weather but you don't see a lot of daily farmers down south....

Question for all: Looking into either building or buying a multi-day waterer, any suggestions. We will be going to Aruba in early January for 5 days. My in-laws usually takes care of the birds while we are gone but with the weather being what it is that time of year and our massive up hill driveway, they may not be able to make it up (or back down) everyday. We have a feeder already but the watering is our only concern.

i made a waterer with a 5 gallon bucket from home depot on top of cinder blocks higher then the pipe a short garden hose to a 2ft pvc pipe with nipples in it mounted to a board with conduit clamps attached to the run.
