What does the thumbs up button do, if you don't mind me asking. Your chickens are so cute! What kind are they?

Thank you! The ones in the pictures were silver penciled rocks, cream crested legbars, and rhodebars

The thumbs up button is kinda like the like button on Facebook except here it's called an ovation :)

ETA: your ducks are adorable! That's the one thing we don't have. Hubby doesn't like ducks. I did manage to talk him into the turkeys though lol

I never dreamed there were ever so many types of chickens and ducks! It's almost like a foreign language!! I'm going to have to buy books and study! Maybe ducks are more messy because of their love for water? Why doesn't he like ducks?!

I am traveling to Patton this weekend to give my 12 ducklings to a man who incubates and hatches chickens, ducks, etc. This isn't you is it?!?

I keep seeing someone from Patton selling chicks on Craigslist. That could be him.

Your Mallards are very gorgeous and seem friendly. Do they lay green eggs?

Both Dupli and Zippy are crowing now. Since one is a blue copper marans and one is a black, will that make a difference when it comes time for Cate, who is a black copper female, to produce offspring, what will the babies be from blue to black? Not that I care, the rest of the flock is Speckled Sussex, New Hampshire, Delaware, (any other breeds with state names besides New Jersey Giant?), Ameracauna, and Buff Orp. Guess I will have a barnyard mix flock, eventually.

Informal state name...or nickname.... Buckeyes, developed in Ohio.

I belive it's 50% blue 50% black.

If you cross black to black, you get 100% black. If you cross blue to black, about 50% should be blue. I say "should" because you could hatch 10 chicks and they could all be blue (or black), but if you hatch enough, you'll see about 50%.
