And I did get a few more...the chicks are still mostly under Gracie, but did coax them out with the assist of scrambled eggs and dried meal worms.

Many people won't eat duck eggs, either. I just write it off as odd Americans. I've never eaten turkey eggs, but see no reason not to, if you aren't hatching them.
We eat them sometimes, but mostly sell them to a neighbor who loves them and pays extra for them when we have them.

Since I can't eat these, I might as well do a "test hatch". Those turkey poults are so fun to tame I won't be sorry if a few do hatch.

But really, I'm just testing the fertility, I'm not addicted at all.
 
My neighbor has the ducks, and they had someone living there who was allergic to sick eggs ( it's real) but was fine with chicken. Of course it was a simple issue to solve with a swap.

I got these now. Both wethers. Ten week old. Leonard and Sheldon.

They are cuties.... but really look like they could have a big brother, an alpaca (Raj) would be great for that!
