I decided to train her young.

Here she is in the crouching position, preparing to pounce on the unsuspecting mites.

Tilly I am,only 15 minutes from myers so it is convenient and I think they have what I want.being new I am not really sure what I want I have it narrowed down to 5 breeds but I can, only get 6 chicks. So my girlfriend and I are still discussing the silver laced wyandotte she wants......lo. where is dheltzel located?

He's in Pottstown, even further from you. My son's dentist at somerset, 1.5 hours from us. But he is the closest one we can find to treat his teeth. Crazy, right?

I like Myers chickens, but I really want some rare breeds that they don't have. I heard some silver laced wyandotte can be really mean to her flock mates, although most of them are friendly. One reason that I choose smaller breeder instead of hatchery is more expectable personality, so I don't need to worry about bully.

One has a dog and toddler underfoot, and a very small dark hallway.
I think the question here is: Did you just admit to intentionally stepping on books?
I think the better question should be: Why are you stepping on a toddler in a dark alley. What business is it to you if I use books as skiis?

LOL! Okay. You win.

Then I guess Peafowl would be out too?  :gig
If you had peas for a few months, they neighbors would be ever so grateful if you swapped them out for turkeys . . .

We should talk about the Ameraucanas, I am getting a bunch of very high quality chicks from John Blehm and should have extras. I'll let you know what I end up with.

Definitely let me know, I love his silver and lavs! Haven't worked with a lavender ameraucana since I was handed down a rooster who was an Isabella Ameraucana project cull (Think blarney had him for a while, he did not play nice with my hens). I had really nice blacks, after a couple generations of culling I had some decent show wins from my stock. They were Smith line so I'll probably be ordering from him again! I want to try out blue wheatens this time though, I think the variety is absolutely beautiful. I'm sure he still breeds bbs though so I can Definitely pick some up if you want additional lines in your blood pool
