Silver Laced Wyandotte ,,,,,Stella SLW,,,,,,,Henrietta Black Australorp......Eggie Speckled Sussex,,,,,, Madge Barred Rock,,,,,Clucker Barred Rock Sawyer Unknown...... I think dark Cornish, EE or wellie.......Ziva. ,,,,any new guesses? There is one more Specklerd Sussex named ,,,,Daisy but I can not get her pic to upload, sorry about the quality of the pics trying a new lens and I am not sure I like it, but anyway these are my girls. The kids named a couple of them can u figure out which ones......lol
The one u arnt sure of on the bottom I would maybe guess EE since it looks like my EE baby's when they hatch and are about hat age

Ya I could tell to there wing growth feathering amount as mine are two weeks old two and have the same growth but this isn't my first baby hatch so I examine them as they grow just to make sure they are growing good and feather growth and I add them to my chicken folder once they are older and I get to know there personality to name them so I can add them in but my turkey ran away this morning but she was headed over to my neighbors and since they have chickens and as much as she follows my chickens around I am hoping she is still there

I hope u find the turkey and I hope u are right about my unknown being an EE.....most seem to think it could be a dark cornish. It is interesting watching her grow and waiting to see what she actually is.

I got a wonderful surprise with my hatch today!

And i was starting to think that none of my birds were carriers of the lavender gene! These 3 get to stay here and grow out :)

Oh yay!! Lavenders are so beautiful

I am about an hour from Harrisburg here is a pic of my EE rooster

And the bottom pic is one of his daughters but I have others that ain't his but it gives u an idea of what they look like they are brown and but I can't fade tee they will all lay green eggs I have a few but two of them lay brown eggs because they are mixed with Rhode Island Red

Hi Roada Red,

Do you happen to have 2 young green egg laying hens you would be willing to part with? My daughter told me today she would like to go ahead and find a couple girls already laying.

Thanks for the pictures!

Newbie question for others in PA,

How old, or at what point weather/temperature wise do you move your chicks outside to the coop here in PA.

Thanks!

Shannon

In general, what I've been told start at 90 degrees, subtract 5 degrees for every week as the lowest temps a chicks can tolerate...that said, a lot of folks will move birds quicker....other factors is how many chicks, and some varieties are more cold tolerant....my two cents....
