Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

:D Thank you Several do. It has me kinda worried, except... A woman in the Pekin club was saying one of her new babies (she only got two) has a spot on its head. I have looked everywhere online, and this isn't a different breed. So, I am just assuming that it is genetics somehow showing through. :fl I can't imagine it is a mix since it did come from a hatchery. I plan on calling a few hatcheries, and getting their opinions. I have waited forever (okay, it feels like it!) for Pekins. It would really stink to end up with mixes after all.
They are adorable no matter what they are! Have you been to the Rural King yet in Clearfield? Just opened yesterday....Radioman and I are heading there later today to 'just look around' ....wonder if we should take the trailer with us? :gig

You should! No, I haven't been there. My sister-in-law says they have been open a while.

In the beginning, they won't want to roost. After about a week, they can start to flutter, and should be able to get up onto an eight inch roost, I think. I know they can fly out of the bins at TSC at a week.

And by fly out of the bins, you mean into your cart, right? ;)

Moved 108 chicks out to brooders this evening. Quite a few more will need to come out tomorrow.
Candled eggs and found that some of the BCM eggs are fertile now! The new roo seems to be the ticket. Hopefully next week I will have BCM chicks.

Awesome! How's the season going? Are you finding buyers for them all?

Absolutely! ;)

I have three girls that have gone broody in the past. We have such a warm spring now, what's taking so long? Haha!

No, thanks. Just let me know if it is better than TSC for feed and supplies. I'll be getting leg bands and looking for different medicines (nothing in particular. Just what looks helpful) in a few days.

Well......I seen too cute little silkie bantams this week at TSC, thought about it and decided that if they were there on the weekend, they would be mine.....I went up today and they had 8 left! I wanted 6 (the minimum) Priced at 2.99 each, the man told me if i took 8, i could have 6 of them for 1.99 and 2 free. NO BRAINER! I got 8 little babies! yay!
