Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Oh boy, its my day off and of course its raining.....

On the chicken front, I am seeing some unusual behaviors in my young trio of roos....(a good thing is that the older girls are starting to listen to the boys...)

Well, the #1 roo is really looking like a flock leader but doesn't seem too interested in covering the girls....Roo #2 seems to have an interest in the two older girls and doesn't chase the young'in much...funny thing is if#2 tries to mess with the older girls usually a spat erupts, Roo #1 is uninterested until a girl is 'distressed', then he steps in....#1 doesn't seem to be bothered by #2 covering his girls....meanwhile, Roo #3 (the BC Marans) is very passively collecting all the young girls for himself (they seem to like him because he's not being allowed to cover them) of course, everything will change next week....

4 of the 5 chicks I got from you over Easter have beards. Number 5 might as well but I could find it last night. I think only one is a roo.

They all look great! I really like the lighter colored one. That would be really awesome if they were mostly pullets. I can't wait to see their egg color when they start laying!

If anyone else wants some chicks, I seriously still have WAY too many! Come get some! Lol
