Only as a treat! And I only put out 1 small slice per chickie. However, the NHR don't take to it like my Silkie boys did, and Tiny apparently only likes the seeds! So I don't dish it out as often.

AuroraDream and I both have Lavender Ameraucanas and will almost certainly have chicks to sell this fall or next year. I have never had Orpingtons, but I think Ams have most of the benefits, plus blue eggs!

Oh, and I should have bantam lavender Ams, they are really cute little things, they remind me of doves.

I have never seen a lavendar Americana or a bantam one either. Might keep that in mind and hit you up for some in the fall or mostly spring.

I should be breeding them full force next spring. I just sold all my black ameraucanas and now have strictly lavenders. I should have some stock from dheltzel to mix in with them next spring for genetic diversity too

Speaking of selling. The last of my turkey poults just left and for the first time since January, my incubators are all off, and the heat lamp in my brooder is shut down.
