Hey there!  Welcome aboard, you've got an incredible 4-H in your county and have the largest Poultry Club in PA ~Lebanon Valley Poultry Fanciers.   I envy you.

used to be??  Ha!
ok. Sorry. I'm still learning how to do this quoting thing. I'm actually not interested in the clubs....how unfair is that for me to be so close and you to be the one who wants it:). I just like it for a hobby and pets and my children love my birds (and all my other animals).
And yeah it is interesting to me now. If it would be drinking and getting drunk etc I would very soon be out of here so I'm glad it's not that anymore. I just like to enjoy God's beautiful creatures and learning how to care for them:) thanks so much to EVERYONE for the wonderful help and ideas.

Well at least mine doesn't pee on the floor.

He only does that when he is hallucinating. Or whatever.

GM all:

Have a question, I have a girl who has had some sort of sniffles/congestion for about two months....it hasn't affected her in any way, but I just noticed another bird with the same congested breathing...so, should I start tetracycline or something else???,,, or just wait ???

PS:

my bater is plugged in....
No answer for you there, but am curious. I have had affected chickens like that before and they have either gotten better or died. I always just assumed it was MG or something similar since I know chx are prone to respiratory.

Well hell. Went out to check on my broody Bridget and she was dead. Looks like she just put her head down and died. No sign of trauma. The eggs were all cold under her. So much for that batch. Insert a bunch of bad words here.
Sorry you lost her. Wondering if it could be from the heat and not getting off the nest to drink enough?
