That is a egg color that I would like to add to my basket.A friend at work got 3 chicks from me, an Olive Egger Legbar, a Blue Egg Black Sexlink and a Welbar. The OE is laying:

I'm very impressed. I had a few of these olive eggers I was trying to sell, but I think I will put them in the laying flock for next year's eggs instead.
She looks identical to my OE girl Molly. Molly ' s eggs are diffident olive and green colors,not very consistent but I love her eggs. She's a good layer too. She was my cuddle buddy, who would sit on my shoulder when I walking around. I stretch my arms, she will fly to perch on my arm. She and legbar Dolly were the only two like to do the trick. Cocoa and Mira got some company tonight. Cocoa is thrilled with the new additions and immediately snuggled up with them.

Both TSCs still do not have any Corid. Two other local feed stores are out of it too. Finally remembered the other feed store in Doylestown (it's always more pricey), and thankfully, they have it. So I can pick it up after work. Hope it's not too late.

I find these sexlinks are really smart. Brownie was the only one never stuck behind doors or couldn't find her way back. She never got pecked by Ruff-Ruff, who's a bully, because she always checked where's Ruff-Ruff and make sure to eat or sleep far away from her.
You are close enough to get some from me whenever you are ready for more birds. I always have extra to sell, I have not hatched many olive eggers in the past, but plan to do more in 2017. They seem to be growing in popularity.
Whenever you are ready for my more chicks, I should have some. This year I had a n olive egger in my Legbar flock and just hatched her eggs. Those eggs had 100% fertility and hatched at a very high percentage. I was not sure how dark the eggs would be, since the Welsummer "blood" was only 25% in those chicks, but everyone that got them and has gotten eggs already has loved the egg color. For next year, I am going to keep a few Legbars in with the Welbar flock. Those chicks will be olive eggers and sexable like Legbars/Welbars. I could make the cross the other way too, but I find blue eggs hatch better for me overall than the dark brown eggs, and I have lots of Legbar pullets growing out. I need more coops . . .
