Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Here are my little babies running around. I Did catch the one that is outside the containment area, and I also added a large piece of plywood for more protection from Hawks and such. The carrier is left in there so they cane hide as well.

Good to see my kids are playing nice....have a couple of more boys if you are interested....seems BCM over CCL throws black colored girls and barred boys....

Welcome to the fun!
Ovo-vegetarian, does that mean the only animal products you eat are eggs? If so, better make sure you're getting a B12 shot. I had a deficiency that took a while to detect, and I eat meat!

How did you know you were deficient? I hear B12 is the really big one to be afraid of.

I will PM tomorrow with details so I don't put everyone else to sleep. :lol:

@fisherlady
Bonnie Tyler is still with the babies, but the other has been back to laying (I think) the past two days. If you remember broody pictures, Bonnie was the one that was missing almost all of her feathers. She looks much better now!
Anyway, the boys are looking good. :thumbsup

I think I need to treat my CCL roo for cocci. He was treated a while ago with the flock when he was much younger but he's been looking very wilted lately. I took some time and treated him with ivermectin pour on and dusted him with sevin to try to cover all the parasite possibilities but he hasn't bounced back. Any other ideas? I didn't see any injuries and he does perk up and run when I try to catch him. I definitely don't want to lose him. He was the best looking boy out of like 12 that I raised this spring.

I would be suspicious of a worm load...and maybe take a stool sample to your vet for checking. Basic wormers don't get them all, some need pretty specific therapies.

I treated the entire flock not long ago with safeguard just as a routine worming and haven't seen any signs of worms but maybe I will do that just in case.
