Awe! That is so sweet of you to be sure she pays me in coffee! However, you deserve more than a pack of gum!

Always coffee for you, my dear.

Oh my, this sounds like more of my chicken algebra. :D

Hey all,
As the holidays come closer, I wanted to let y'all know of a charity that I am going to donate to as a gift for my kiddos this season.
I wouldn't put it on here, except that this is money to donate baby chicks to impoverished families around the world.  This was something that I just happened upon (and there may be others that do this too).  Since WE all know the food / monetary value that a chicken can bring (if you eat / sell the eggs and eventually the chicken) and we all like chickens at least a little bit, I thought that this was an interesting idea for chicken lovers to participate in.

They say that for $14, they can give them a dozen chicks, set up a coop and provide some basic veterinary care.  You can also pay different amounts for other animals, but since this is a chicken site, I just wanted to tell you all about the chickens.  Here is the site if anyone wants to participate.

our 4-H donated to this charity before. I sent the check and then received solicitations from them in the mail weekly for the next 2 years. It finally ended after I wrote to them. Made me sad that our donation probably went toward solicitations

I haven't had any people aggressive, toms or hens but I have a hen that was the sweetest thing to the chickens but then she went broody, set on an empty nest for 4 months and she was really mean she almost killed one of my hens and then she had quit setting and she was good again but now that's change again.

I've had lots of trouble mixing turkeys with chickens. The turkeys worked as a pack to single out and attack chickens.

I would have to discuss that with the others but I would think a pack of bubblegum and a cup of coffee should cover it.

I can handle that.

or pictures of baby chicks will be accepted!

These are my youngest ones at the moment. Momma Clara hatched them about a month ago. I have 19 Serama eggs and 2 bantam cochin eggs in the incubator right now, and 6 Serama eggs under my broody Serama. Day 5 today for them all :)
