Be aware of chicken math, you will find there are many great birds that you want/need, especially, when so many PA people have them.

I have a rooster that had his tail feathers plucked out by another rooster. We have since then gotten rid of the other rooster, probably 4 months ago. His feathers never really seemed to be growing back. Now it looks as if hens are pecking at his bottom. Today when I went out his backside is bald and he's bleeding yet again. Is there something I can put on him to help him heal and his feathers to grow back? Is there something that I can use to deter the hens from pecking at him? I'm afraid he's going to get frostbite from having a bare bottom. When I get a chance I'll take pictures.

I would spray his bare tooshie with blue kote to mask the bare skin and bloody spots. You can respray as needed and if you're concerned about frost bite, you can coat him with Vaseline.

I have gentian violet on hand. I could probably put some of that on him until I get to the feed store. I had cleaned his bottom before with a peroxide and water mixture and put vaseline on it to help stop it from bleeding, but that was months ago. It seemed to be getting smaller with little feather regrowth. He definitely needs something done now and if it does get colder I'll have to vaseline him up. I was considering putting him in a cage of some sort, but don't really want to isolate him as it could take along time for him to grow new feathers.

Plus, isolating him could make it really hard to reintegate him later on.
