[@=/u/249441/dheltzel]@dheltzel[/@]. Does that greenish egg look familiar to you? Any idea of which butt it came out of?

Not sure. It could be from a Legbar. The blue egg layers sometimes have some greenish tint to their eggs, People differ about whether that is bad or not. I rather like a turquois egg, but would try to select for brighter blues if I have a choice.

Okay, thanks anyways! Looks like if I want answers, I'll have to follow Fisherlady and put cameras up. Or catch them in the act. Lol :pop

It's a Black sex link! My one girl I named Eagle, because she has these beautiful lighter eyes like her namesake. I heard the girls singing the egg song, and I found the Cali Grey was singing with the BSL who was in the box. Yay! I don't really care about the colors of the eggs, I think they're all gorgeous. But maybe it will help you since you aim for a specific breeding stock.

Be warned....the cameras are addictive, it is really something to watch how birds act when people aren't around.

Haha! I can only imagine!

Poor Tom couldn't figure out how to get off of the porch....

I clearly have too much time on my hands this weekend... This is just interesting to me. These chickens have the same diet, but one has yolks much darker than the other. Guess one is eating more grass?

The lighter yolk is the Cali Grey egg, the darker is the Black sex link.

No doubt a CCL.....but if you want bluer  eggs you need to pluck the tucas feathers....lol.....

It was actually from a Black sex link! Found her on the nest while her sister was singing the egg song.
