I have said many times....we try to give our birds a great chicken life right up until they have one very bad day....

I just moved 5, 10 week old chicks out to the main coop. All boys that I'm not overly afraid of losing. There are 2 Ayam cemani with leakage, 1 overly colored BCM, 1 mix, and 1 CCL boy. I'm sure they'll be fine though seeing as how on the single digit days they were hanging out on the cold half of the brooder anyway and it's supposed to be warmer out over the next couple days. I have to make room for the 5, 8 week old Ayam cemani chicks coming in the mail in a day or two :)

Thanks, dear. I'm very excited! But I still need to wait to see if my job will work out. My company is moving our manufacture line to Europe even after Trump talked to them not to. I don't know how badly that will affect my job yet. I don't want to give up my flock again if I have to change job. I'm thinking about to have a trailer coop that I can take with me.

So just a little fun...there is a debate going on at my house what color these eggs are. What's your opinion? My husband thinks they are blue and the other five of us in the house think they are a light green.

For you guys that raise Easter Eggers, Ameraucanas, Olive Eggers or Araucanas what's the biggest difference? Do you have a comparison of their egg colors? Do you prefer one over the other? I would love a true BLUE egg laying chicken and my husband wants a Olive Egger for the olive eggs.

How are your Ayam Cemani's doing? I didn't realize they are cold hearty chickens. My husband has been reading about them because he wants to add a roo and a hen to our flock. Where are you getting them? I swear he told me they were like $1500!!
