Reading Pa! 1 hour and 30 mins west of Philiadelpia. New soon to be chicken owner!

Hi guys I'm new! I live in Chambersburg.

Welcome! I'm still a newbie and this site and everyone on it has been sooo helpful! We inherited 8 chickens and 4 ducks when we moved in that I didn't think I wanted and six months later we are up to almost 30 chickens, almost 20 ducks, 3 or 4 guineas coming soon, and I almost have my husband talked into a couple turkeys!

This is the little girl I was worried about! She's doing much better. They all seem healthy so far and I'm glad I spent half a day finding the corid. Thanks for the advice! It even looks like I have a couple BLRW!! Thought I only had the black and one splash. Can't wait for them to finish feathering out.

If anyone has tips for introducing them to the rest of my flock I would definitely appreciate it. Read so many articles I'm not sure which route to go. Although I'm starting to realize a little common sense goes a long way lol.

I am looking for someone on this thread. She may be going by Silkie Sensation. She makes homemade soap. Wonderful stuff. I have run out of my last order and need to get more. Are you here? Send me a message.

So glad she's doing better. Integration isn't too hard but you have a ways to go before then. The main thing is to keep them physically separated, but still able to see one another for a time, such as in a dog crate. Usually a few days or a week of that is all you need, with supervising being a must.
