Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Very pretty! Lovely flecks of gold in her neck. She looks brown, I was expecting more of a grey. Thanks for sharing the pictures of Hazel!

Thanks! Yes, she is definitely brown, not grey--much closer to the Welsummer color, although with more black (head, neck, tail) than the pictures the hatchery shows for its Welsummers. She turned out much prettier than I expected. :)

TSC sucks me in every time. I went to go pick up feed with my daughter and she paid for these guys, and their feed. I had the rest of the set up obviously
My children and I have a problem. In two years were up to 5 ducks and 12 chickens. MY Daughter is already asking for a goat. Lord help us. My husband is going to move

Good job Merida! First egg from our @dheltzel Silver Welbar. She's one of the loudest in the coop, and she was even louder today coming out of the nesting box. Hope it's not an April fool and she starts to lay regularly.

Now I really want some!

Maybe your hubby will get with the program. Now, whenever I discuss adding to our feathered and furred family, my husband just rolls his eyes and says, "Could I even stop you if I wanted to?" It look a few years though...

I almost had my hubby talked into meeting the chicken train while I'm out of town over Easter but not for taking care of chicks lol
