Anyone know how to get ahold of the deer removal crew (I can’t think of the name!)? Someone hit a deer last Sunday, and threw it against my mailbox! The mailman has run over it a few times, and it is now in pieces along the side of the road. It is going to defrost and start stinking in the next few days! :sick

Oh gross! I hope someone knows the number!

Thanks, my newer CCL girls are laying beautiful small green eggs, and I’m tempted to throw some in the bator, since I know I would be able to sell some grown pullets in the spring easily. Will you be selling the Cali Grays again? Maybe I could grab a couple, with my duck order...
I put a few Cali Grey eggs in the incubator already, to see if they are fertile. I do plan to hatch some this year, both to sell and to increase my flock. They seem to be one of my better performing breeds.

I haven't seen any increase in egg numbers, but I think I have a Penedesenca pullet going broody. They are not supposed to be prone to that, and she is younger than most of my hens, so why??

Can anyone tell me if there is a normal size chicken breed that comes in Porcelain. Saw it yesterday and in love with the color just not in bantam size.

Because you don't want her to. That's why!

The keywords are “Poultry Farming.”
The apps are; Poultry farming, Poultry pal pro, Pickin’ Chicken ($2.99) as well as several magazines you can get previews of. You can even pick an old magazine to buy and download.

Offhand, I can't think of any. Porcelain is Mille Fleur + Lavender, but doing that cross is still a long way from breeding back to porcelain. Even Mille Fleur is rare, except in a few bantams.
OYOH, bantams are really pretty neat, you should consider adding a small pen of bantams as pets. Some are remarkably efficient egg producers, given how little feed and space they require compared to the large fowl.
