They are so cute! Looks like 2 mottled blacks and 3 Bourbon red mixes. Dad is a royal palm.

It is past time for me to post a few pictures of the new kids--one of a few Lavender Amerucaunas and a legbar from Dennis and my beautiful birthday orpington from Martha!
They are cute...
My husband's adult nephew wants to hatch turkey eggs, he tried with an incubator but something happened an none hatched. He called and asked if we ever had broody hens..... LOL... who, us?? Broodies???
So... He brought us 6 eggs, they went in my husband's home made incubator, and 8 days later it looks like we have veins in 5 out of the 6. We have a silkie broody sitting on stone eggs in the coop. She went broody about 2 days before we got the eggs so she is good for the 28 day thing. Our plan is to keep the eggs in the incubator till day 25, then shift them out to her for 'lockdown'. That way we don't have to worry about her nest being invaded by other laying hens or getting chilled if she gets back on the wrong nest at some point.
Hoping we get at least a couple chicks for him. I never did ask what breed of turkey.
Why on earth am I seeing bullseyes on only a few eggs?
