So I got a bit of a surprise when I went out to check out my chickens one last time tonight. It was about 11:40 at night, and we had just gotten in. I heard a strange noise... So glad I had my flashlight!

Yes, thankfully, the little critter ran back to his mama and sibling. But it sure was cute!

I have a hen that is siting on some eggs. Today she got off and is out and about in the yard somewhere. She has been off for about 2 hours. It is 94 here right now. Just wondering if I should be worried about the eggs?

My muscovy, Ebony, is broody again too. She's almost as bad as Ana when it comes to broodiness! She's being more defensive this time around though. I signed up for a random egg swap on a Facebook swap page. If I end up with duck eggs, I'll be giving them to Ebony. If I get chicken eggs, they'll be going to Ana..... Unless it's something I REALLY REALLY want, then I'll be hatching them inside lol. Speaking of hatching...I ended up with a few peafowl eggs by chance. They were shipped anda then transported and I wasn't too hopeful but one is developing! I'm very excited! Hopefully it hatches without any issues. I will be very hands on with this baby. I plan on trying to make it super sweet
