Thanks! We have chickens, guineas, pigs, geese and 2 dogs and 2 cats . I became a little too addicted to geese this summer and my children and I hand raised them all. So they always want to come knock on the door. They've taken to pooping everywhere so hubby and I decided to let my fave cotton patch geese pair find a new home tonight. I'm a little sad but hubby said no more geese so I'm happy they will be able to hatch out little ones at their new home.
We have 2 American guinea hogs, a variety of chickens, way too many guineas. My daughter decided she wanted an incubator for her 6th birthday in the spring and a lot of the guineas hatched. Then we had 3 broody silkies which hatched out a bunch. These silly things should be eating all the ticks but instead are away too tame and end up on our porch too adding to the geese poop! Haha My 6 year old thinks it's funny to bring them inside.

Looking forward to learning more about everyone!

Hi and welcome, I from Lancaster County. Not to far from Harrisburg.

Hello! My ones childs doctor is in Lancaster. We were just there yesterday. We sometimes go to the lab thats off the Elizabethtown exit I believe . It's before the Goodwill store that is there! Welcome "neighbor"!

I read a little above about people flagging your Craigslist dog post . We recently adopted 2 dogs off Craigslist in the summer after oursa both passed away. It's amazing how both owners hide a lot.of key information about their dogs. I really didn't want to get a puppy because I have so much going on but some days now wish i would of went the puppy route! Your pup's are adorable!

Just checking in. I know I've been absent a lot. Started up the first incubator about 2 weeks ago and the hens are finally starting to lay better -- 41 eggs yesterday!
I am heading the the Farm Show today with lots of relatives. Looking forward to the poultry exhibit for sure.
Hope everyone is doing well and planning more poultry adventures for 2019.

It's good to see you back! We've all been wondering where you've been. My first babies of the season are in the brooder already (quail, BCM, and OE) and my first broody turkey is raising some cockerels. Have fun at the farm show and good luck on your hatches!

Life got busy. I had the incubators off for a long while and just gave the chick room a thorough cleaning - the dust generated by the chicks is daunting sometimes.
One exciting project I have going is to make lavender frizzle cochin bantams. I have black frizzle roos in with the lavender hens I raised last year. Want to save a group of black frizzle girls to put back with a lavender cockerel to get the lavender frizzles.

This morning another duck was missing and its a male one. Hubby saw white feathers in the woods this morning. I think its time to go fox hunting. They use to come in at night with the chickens but for a couple months now they will not come in at night. What do I do?
